The Tennessee Lady Volunteers will be spending their Thanksgiving holiday in Fort Myers, Florida for the Coconut Hoops Tournament. The tourney will consist of seven teams split into two divisions. The “Great Egret Division” includes: Tennessee, Florida Gulf Coast, Houston and Creighton. The other division called the “Blue Heron Division” consists of: Oklahoma State, Washington, and Massachusetts.
The Great Egret Division will see the Lady Vols will play FGCU on Friday November 27th at 5:30 PM. The winner of that contest will play the winner of the Houston and Creighton that will be played at 3:00 PM that day. The losers of those contest will play in a consolation game. Both the consolation game and championship game will be played the following Sunday.
The Blue Heron Division will see a round robin style of play with Oklahoma State playing Washington on Friday, November 27th, Oklahoma State taking on UMass on Saturday, then Washington playing UMass on Sunday.
The tournament will be held at Florida Gulf Coast University and ways to watch or hear radio coverage of the games will be announced at a later date.
