A man wanted in connection to the death of a Robertson County Sheriff’s Deputy was arrested Monday morning in Smyrna, Tennessee. Patrol Deputy Savanna Puckett, age 22, was found deceased in her burning home late Sunday afternoon in Springfield after she did not show up for her shift. She had a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. Monday morning, the TBI, Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office and Smryna Police descended upon the Odom Court area, reportedly to execute a search warrant. The TBI arrested a man but did not immediately release his identity or any other details regarding the case. The investigation is active and ongoing.
