Chattanooga Mayor Calls On Congress To Take Action On Gun Violence After Early Morning Bar Shooting Leaves 3 Dead, 17 Injured

Chattanooga Mayor Tim Kelly held a press conference on Sunday after a shooting outside a Chattanooga bar early Sunday morning left 3 dead and 17 injured.  Fourteen people were shot, 3 people were hit by cars.  Two died from gunshot wounds and 1 died after being struck by a vehicle leaving the scene of the shooting.  Mayor Kelly is asking for Congress to take action to address the issue of gun violence in the country. “Our city will put a stop to this,” says Mayor Kelly.  Three other people in Chattanooga were shot in an un-related incident just three miles away.  They sustained non-life-threatening injuries. And over the Memorial Day weekend, six teenagers between the ages of 13 and 15 were injured by gunfire in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  Two had life-threatening injuries. Their conditions are not known at this time.
