The pilot who died in a deadly crash in Polk County, Tennessee on Sunday has been identified. Dr. Lionel Meadows who had a practice in Commerce, Georgia was reportedly flying alone in his single-engine Cessna 182 from South Bend, Indiana when the plane went down around 7:30 pm over Reliance, Tennessee. It’s not certain at this time what caused the crash but Polk County residents report gusty winds and numerous lighting strikes around the time the plane went off radar.
