A Boil Water Notice has been issued for Overton and Pickett counties after an electrical transformer failure which disabled necessary equipment required for proper water treatment. The issue with the transformer has been addressed and the water treatment plant is back up and running. System testing is underway and results will be back in within 24 hours. However, according to state guidelines a Boil Water for Human Consumption must be put in place until further notice. This includes Livingston Water District, areas of Pickett County South of Dale Hollow Lake as well as North Overton Utility District and West Overton Utility District and East Clay and Hilham. According to Overton/Pickett E-911, the Boil Advisory is not issued for areas of Monterey, Crawford, Wilder or Hanging Limb.
