The Crossville Police Department has won First Place in the 26 – 45 Officers Category in the Tennessee Highway Safety Office 19th Annual Law Enforcement Challenge. The McMinnville Police Department won Second Place in the same category.
In the 1– 10 Officers Category, the Jamestown Police Department finished in Third Place. In the 11 – 25 Officers Category, the Fairfield Glade Police Department had a Third Place finish.
The Cookeville Police Department captured Third Place in the 46 – 75 Officers Category.
In the Tennessee Highway Patrol Districts Category, First Place went to District 6, which is headquartered in Cookeville and serves 15 counties in our area including Cumberland, Warren and White.
This year, 73 Law Enforcement Challenge applications were submitted: 19 from West Tennessee, 21 from Middle Tennessee, 17 from East Tennessee, 16 from the Cumberland Region, and one submission from each of the Tennessee Highway Patrol districts.
