Sep 22, 2023 | 10:07 AM

Sheriff Casey Cox was present this past Monday night to help congratulate Kevin Concepcion, Peyton Russell, Landon Edgeworth, Kaylee Dixon, and Makayla Davis from the V.A.L.O.R. Program, which is a Juvenile Justice Education Program.

V.A.L.O.R  (Values, Attitude, Leadership, Order, Respect) is a 12 week life skills program directed by the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office and other partners that help young people set and keep their “life compass” set to due north.  The goal is to help parents and guardians reinforce sound truths and life skills that help prepare youth for success.

Parents participate with students on several classes including communication and conflict resolution.   Parental tools are also instructed, giving the family a better chance of navigating life’s highway together.

The next class series will begin November 6, 2023 at 4:00 – 6:00.   For more information contact Sgt. Gary Howard or SRO Josh Parrigin at ghoward@ccsheriffs.org
