A house burned to the ground Monday night on Rockwood Highway. The Crossville Fire Department was called out to 1137 Highway 70 East around 8pm and discovered the structure was fully engulfed. The roadway was blocked in front of the home near Castleman Road as firefighters battled the blaze. Crews kept the flames from consuming a nearby structure. The former tenants had reportedly moved out a few weeks ago and the house was supposed to be empty. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation. (Photo submitted)
