The body of a Columbia State Community College professor has been recovered in Brazil. Clifford Gordon was walking along a beach with three students on Thursday (5/16/2024) when a large wave hit and he was swept into the water. The students were injured but treated and released. Professor Gordon and a dozen students were on a three-week tour to study art. Authorities in Brazil notified the College on Monday that Gordon’s body had been found. He reportedly began working for Columbia State Community College in 2008.
