District Attorney General Russell Johnson, of the 9th Judicial District, has announced the conviction of Brittany Buckholz, wife of Vincent Buckholz, for her role in handling the financial transactions for her husband involving his illegal fentanyl pill purchases and sale, including the sale of one counterfeit pill presented as a Roxycodone pill, but containing deadly fentanyl that killed two Roane County brothers in April 2021. Their mother discovered her 17 and 19-year-old sons unresponsive when she tried to wake them up to get ready for school. An autopsy determined the cause of death to be acute fentanyl toxicity. Brittany Buckholz received an eight year prison sentence for money laundering. DAG Johnson reports that Vincent Buckholtz was sentenced to 20-years for the deaths of the two victims.
