The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission is holding open houses this week on the proposed Ridgeline Pipeline. TVA will reportedly work with Enbridge on the 122-mile gas pipeline which would stretch across Smith, Jackson, Overton, Fentress, Morgan and Roane counties in Tennessee.

The first open house was held Tuesday (6/11/2024) in Kingston.

The second will be held Wednesday, June 12, 2024 from 6 to 8pm Central Time at the Cookeville High School.

The third meeting will be held Thursday, June 13, 2024from 6 to 8pm Central Time at the Trousdale Community Center in Hartsville.

According to the Sierra Club some residents in the 8 counties along the proposed pipeline fear a possible leak, explosions,  or their property will be seized for the project.

If the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission approves the Ridgeline Pipeline, Enbridge reportedly plans to start construction by Fall of 2025.
