Weeks after she was reported missing, the body of a Grandview, Tennessee woman has been discovered in Kentucky. The TBI said 69-year-old Roxanne Gallagher was found deceased Saturday afternoon (8/17/24) in Lake Cumberland.
The TBI did not immediately provide any information as to how she was discovered or how long they thought she had been in the water. They also did not say if the Cumberland County woman’s maroon 2000 Buick LeSabre has been located.
A TBI Silver Alert was issued August 2, 2024 on behalf of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office for Roxanne Gallagher. Authorities said she had a medical condition that may have impaired her ability to return home without assistance.
The Silver Alert said Ms. Gallagher had been missing since June 23. However, a report from the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office stated her neighbors called authorities on July 27 after not seeing her three or four days prior.
Gallagher had reportedly left her door open and her dog at home before she disappeared.
