Rockwood, TN – On August 22, 2024, the Rockwood Police Department successfully apprehended James Schillinger, a wanted suspect, during a routine traffic stop. Officer Courtney Karlsven observed a vehicle believed to be associated with Schillinger and conducted the stop, leading to his arrest without incident. Schillinger was taken into custody on outstanding Cumberland County warrants, which include two counts of Aggravated Assault, Violation of Probation from Criminal Court, and two counts of Reckless Endangerment. Additionally, another individual in the vehicle was issued a citation for simple possession. James Schillinger had been placed on the Crossville/Cumberland County Crimestoppers list as a wanted suspect on August 9, 2024.
Sheriff Casey Cox of Cumberland County expressed gratitude for the collaborative efforts of Chief Pittman and the Rockwood Police Department, stating, “We appreciate the diligence and professionalism shown by the officers in locating and arresting Schillinger. This successful operation underscores our commitment to keeping our community safe.” Chief Kelly Pittman extended his appreciation to his officer for a job well done.
