After 4 football games for the Tennessee Volunteers the AP Poll has decided they are a top 5 team in the country. The latest AP Poll put out on Sunday ranked the Volunteers 5th in the nation. This is the first time since 2022 that the Vols have been in the top 5 in the rankings. Since the departure with Philip Fulmer the Volunteers have been in the top 5 rankings 6 times and all 6 times have been with current head coach Josh Heupel.
The Southeastern Conference joins #5 Tennessee in the top 25 poll with: #1 Texas, #2 Georgia, #4 Alabama, #6 Ole Miss, #11 Missouri, #14 LSU, #21 Oklahoma, and #24 Texas A&M.
