Fairfield Glade Ladies Club donates $22,000 to Roane State Foundation for student scholarships

The Fairfield Glade Ladies Club recently donated funds to Roane State Foundation for the 2024-2025 Fairfield Glade Pam Biggs Scholarship. The full gift totaled $22,000 and is already benefitting college students in Cumberland County.

The scholarship program with Fairfield Glade Ladies Club (FGLC) was initiated in 1977 and renamed in 2012 for the late Pam Biggs. Club leaders described Biggs as a dedicated member who served on many committees and coordinated important events. Despite a terminal illness, Biggs continued to fulfill her volunteer efforts.

Over the past several years, the club has given more than $137,000 to assist Roane State students accomplish their educational goals.

So far in the 2024-25 academic year, these scholarships have already assisted 13 non-traditional college students and six Middle College students.
