TBI Arrests, Charges Shelbyville Man in Ongoing Child Exploitation Case

A Shelbyville man has been arrested after he allegedly solicited a sexual relationship with a juvenile through the online video games Roblox and Call of Duty.  TBI Agents also determined that 40-year-old Ricky Lee Bonifant, Jr. possessed and distributed child sexual abuse material on several online platforms.   On Wednesday (2/5/25), Bonifant was booked into the Bedford County Jail on a $100,000 bond.  He is charged with two counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, one count of Aggravated Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, one count of Solicitation of a Minor, and two counts of Solicitation of a Minor by Electronic Means.
