A $3,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the conviction of those responsible for an elk poached on North Cumberland Wildlife Management Area (NCWMA) in the Caryville area of Campbell County.
In the afternoon hours of Saturday (Feb. 22, 2025), a call was received that an elk carcass had been found on the Royal Blue Unit. The elk appeared to have been shot within the last few days. The incident remains under investigation.
