The body of a Jackson County man has been discovered in Putnam County. According to a press release, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office received a call Wednesday evening (February 26, 2025) from a property owner in the Baxter area who found what appeared to be a human body lying in a field.
The body was identified as 53-year-old James Russell Solomon who had been released from the Jackson County Jail on Monday (February 24, 2025) for an Aggravated Domestic Assault charge.
The investigation of Mr. Solomon’s death continues and his body has been sent for an autopsy. Anyone with information regarding the death or the whereabouts of James Russell Solomon after he was released from jail is asked to contact Detective Etheredge with the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office Investigation Unit at 931- 528-8484.
