Sheriff Mike Neal, Chief Deputy John Argo and the entire Rhea County Sheriff’s Department offer their sincerest condolences to the family in the passing of former Rhea County Sheriff, Paul Smith. He was 89. He served as Sheriff of Rhea County from 1974 to 1976 and again from 1982 to 1986.
Paul Smith served his county in the United States Army and he also started Smith Brothers Well Drilling and traveled to projects all around the country, including Hawaii.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Spring City Cemetery with Rev. Kevin Glazier officiating. There will be no visitation.
