The Crossville Police Department is warning the public to be on the lookout for phone scammers who call and text, claiming to be the Police Department and claiming that you owe fines or money.
The City of Crossville Police Department doesn’t make phone calls looking to collect money. Police Department fines are collected by the court or by a collections agency if your fines haven’t been paid.
Hang up immediately! Do not engage with them, and NEVER give any information or money, gift cards, or Bitcoin deposits. These are scams. The calls do not originate from the Police Department, regardless of what the caller claims or what the caller I.D. may read.
