A domestic call turned into a Mother’s Day drug bust for Monterey Police officers. According to a press release, as police were speaking to the parties involved, one officer observed a male subject get out of a vehicle and toss a bag of narcotics in an attempt to hide it. The Putnam County Sheriff’s Department came to the scene to assist and brought a K9. During a search of the vehicle, approximately 42.4 grams of a substance believed to be methamphetamine and fentanyl was found. Police say $9,275 in cash was also found with the narcotics in the vehicle. Due to the ongoing investigation with this case, no names were immediately released. Charges are pending.
