The Cumberland County Commission received the latest financial update during their monthly session on Monday. In April, the Codes Department issued 37 residential and 1 commercial building permit, along with 30 mechanical and 28 plumbing permits, generating $52,803 in fees. EMS collections reached $785,440 for the month, pushing the year-to-date total to $4.15 million, ahead of both monthly and annual projections. April sales tax collections for the Board of Education were $1.15 million, slightly below projections, though the year-to-date total remains nearly $139,000 above expectations. Property tax collections reached 97.4%, down slightly from last year. Hotel/motel tax revenue stands at $877,000.
