Man Issued Citations After Striking Pedestrian at Crossville Kroger and Leaving the Scene

Crossville Police were dispatched to Kroger on Thursday (6/5/2025) in reference to a hit and run.  According to reports, a 22-year-old man was in the crosswalk when he was struck by 81-year-old Miguel Angel Rivera who failed to slow his vehicle down.  Video footage shows the victim fall to the ground where his foot caught under the right front wheel of Rivera’s vehicle.  The victim had to signal for Rivera to back up.  Soon after Mr. Rivera drove off.  Because the accident was not life-threatening,  Mr. Rivera was issued a misdeameanor citation for leaving the scene of an accident with injury as well as one for failure to yield to a pedestrian.
