At least 56 people and two dogs were stranded by flash flooding Sunday evening at Pocket Wilderness in Soddy-Daisy. The Mowbray Volunteer Fire Department was called to the hiking area around 6pm and was soon joined by Soddy Daisy Fire, the Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department and numerous other agencies from Chattanooga and Hamilton County. The teams established a rope system and were able to get everyone safely across the flooded creek. (Picture provided by: Chief Chris Weddington, Mowbray VFD)
