Tennessee Schools Crack Down on Cell Phone Use

Starting July 1, Tennessee public schools must enforce new rules banning student use of cell phones, smartwatches, and other devices during instructional time. School boards and public charter schools are required to implement these restrictions, though exceptions are allowed for students with disabilities or for academic presentations. The law aims to reduce classroom distractions and refocus students on learning.
