Giles County Couple Arrested for Trafficking Forced Labor

In Middle Tennessee, a Giles County couple has been arrested for Trafficking Forced Labor. The Sheriff’s Department says James and Kelli Hewitt were also charged with Involuntary Labor Servitude, 3 counts of Animal Cruelty, and 1 count of Aggravated Animal Cruelty. The investigation involved multiple agencies and 8 individuals of varying ages were reportedly rescued and placed in a safer environment.  The investigation continues.  (Photos courtesy Giles County Sheriff’s Dept.)
