Semi Truck Hits Telephone Line on Bowman Loop

A Cumberland County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to the 2000 block of Bowman Loop shortly after 9am Tuesday (07/08/2025) after a semi truck hitting a low hanging telephone line. The driver, 60-year-old Danny Sutton, of Cookeville,  stated that he did not know that he had hit the line until a pedestrian waved him down to tell him.  He then pulled over to call 911. Volunteer Energy Cooperative reported two poles were damaged.
