The Fairfield Glade Volunteer Fire Department saved a structure on Lisa Lane Monday afternoon (7/14/2025). According to a post on the Department’s Facebook page, Firefighters were called shortly after 4pm and were confronted with fire and smoke in the living room area of the home. The owners were stripping floors when apparently a floor lamp fell over and ignited the wet acetone. The fire had spread inside a wall and was headed to the attic. Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze and made sure it did not travel any further. The Fairfield Glade Fire Department reminds everyone working with dangerous chemicals to be in a well ventilated area free from any ignition sources. (Photo courtesy FGFD Facebook.)
