Tennessee Governor Bill Lee announced Monday that The Boring Company, owned by Elon Musk, plans to build a tunnel from the Nashville International Airport to downtown. The Music City Loop, a zero-emissions high-speed underground private transit system, will reportedly be 100% privately funded. Passengers will be able to get from the airport to Nashville in about 8 minutes. The Boring Company intends the first segment of the Loop system to be operational as early as fall of 2026.
