GE Appliances $3 Billion Expansion Includes Tennessee

GE Appliances has announced a $3 billion expansion plan that includes Tennessee and several other states. In a press release, GE said it will expand its air conditioning and water heating portfolio, increase production output across all product lines, and further modernize its 11 U.S. manufacturing plants with new automation and capital equipment. The first phase of investments includes adding 2 new air conditioner models this December at the GE Appliances plant in Selmer, Tennessee. Expansions and new products are also planned for plants in Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky and South Carolina.
