Motorists traveling I-40 in Putnam County should be on the alert for scheduled bridge repair at the 301 westbound mile marker this weekend. The contractor will work continuously on the bridge through 6am Monday (August 25,2025). During this work, one lane of I-40 will be shut down.
TDOT reports that crews are also conducting nightly milling and paving on I-40 from mile marker 300 to mile marker 304 from 7pm to 6am. Motorists should use caution as they approach the work zone and should prepare to encounter slow or stopped traffic.
