#6 Tennessee Stays Unbeaten Defeating Loyola Marymount

It was a successful trip to Los Angeles last week after Tennessee soccer defeated #4 UCLA on Wednesday and then defeating the Lions of Loyola Marymount 3-0 on Saturday.

Shae O’Rourke is now one goal behind Alivia Stott in the season goal tally after knocking in a Penalty Kick against LMU in the 18th minute. Tennessee’s second goal of the game came from an own goal scored by LMU’s Emma Depailler in the 61st minute. Jenna Stayart got her first goal of the season scoring for UT in the 88th minute. Goal keeper Cayden Norris still yet to be scored on as she claims her fourth straight clean sheet. Tennessee has yet to allow a goal this season.

The Lady Vols are undefeated at 4-0 and still sitting in the top 6 of the Soccer rankings. UT heads from the west coast to the east cost now with a game against Western Carolina in Cullowhee, North Carolina. That game will be Sunday August 31st at 5:00 PM streaming on ESPN+.
