First Responders rescued a driver and dog involved in a crash in White County Monday afternoon. Around 1:40 p.m. Labor Day, the Sparta-White County Rescue Squad along with Cherry Creek Volunteer Fire, Bon De Croft Volunteer Fire, White County Emergency Services, White County Sheriff’s Department, and Tennessee Highway Patrol were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with confirmed entrapment. Agencies worked together to ensure a safe extraction of the subject. Once the subject had been removed they informed members on the scene that there was a dog in the vehicle. Responders then began to safely remove the pet and return it safely to a neighbor on scene. (Photos courtesy Sparta Rescue Squad FB.)
