The incredible run the #1 Tennessee Lady Vol’s Women’s soccer team has put together takes a tumble after suffering their first loss Friday night against Mississippi State. The Lady Vols drop a 3-2 decision to the Bulldogs in the two last minutes of the game.
Tennessee’s Anaiyah Robinson scored her first two goals of the year in this game with just two minutes separating them in the 52nd and 54th minutes. However MSU’s Ally Perry scored a brace of her own, including the game winner in the 88th minute. Zoe Main scored the other State goal in the 10th minute of the game.
#1 Tennessee drops to 6-1-1 on the year and will now travel to the Show Me state to take on Missouri Thursday September 18th at 6:00 PM.
