The #8 Tennessee Lady Vols showed out on Thursday in their exhibition against the Columbus State Cougars. Kim Caldwell’s sophomore coaching season at UT starts off with 148-48 win over the Cougars.
In route to their 100 point victory 7 Lady Vols were able to score double-digit points, with 4 different Lady Vols leading the scoring with 18 points a piece. Those four include: Ruby Whitehorn, Nya Robertson, Mya Pauldo, and Jersey Wolfenbarger. Other Lady Vols leading in scoring was Talaysia Cooper with 17, Janiah Barker with 15, and Jaida Civil with 10 points.
This game does not count for the Lady Vols record but the real thing starts next week with a marquee matchup. Coach Caldwell’s squad travels to Greensboro for the Battle in the ‘Boro as #8 Tennessee takes on #9 North Carolina State to start the season Tuesday November 4th.
