On request of the Crab-Orchard Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Mayor Allen Foster has recognized November 2025 in Cumberland County as American Indian Heritage Month. Mayor Foster asks all Cumberland County citizens to remember that this is a time to celebrate the traditions, languages, and stories of Native American, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, and Island communities and ensure their rich histories and contributions continue to thrive with each passing generation.
