A Cumberland County fugitive was apprehended in Fentress County Friday morning (Nov. 7, 2025) at a residence where multiple illegal narcotics were discovered.
The Fentress County Sheriff’s Office reports shortly after 10am, agents arrived at a residence located on Round Mountain Road in Jamestown while assisting in the search for Brita Lee West, who had an active Failure to Appear (FTA) warrant. West appeared in the living room and was taken into custody without incident.
While securing the scene, agents observed digital scales with crystalline residue and a methamphetamine smoking apparatus in plain view. A subsequent search of the immediate area uncovered meth, marijuana, Suboxone tablets, Xanax pills and multiple marijuana smoking devices.
West reportedly admitted ownership of all narcotics and paraphernalia on the scene. She was transported to the Fentress County Jail for booking on multiple drug-related charges, and a hold was placed for Cumberland County regarding the outstanding warrant. (Photo courtesy FCSO.)
