TN Comptroller’s Division of Investigations Marks 500th Report, Uncovers $51 Million in Fraud, Waste and Abuse of Public Funds and Assests

The Tennessee Comptroller’s Division of Investigations, established in 2016, recently issued its 500th investigative report detailing cases of financial wrongdoing across the state. These 500 investigations have uncovered $51 million in fraud, waste, and abuse involving public funds and assets. The investigations have also resulted in nearly 1,600 criminal charges against individuals accused of violating the public’s trust.
