The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security released preliminary statistics recording 8 traffic fatalities during the 2025 Thanksgiving holiday travel period, matching the 8 fatalities recorded during the same period last year.
Tennessee Highway Patrol troopers responded to 902 motorist assist calls statewide. These calls included disabled vehicles, flat tires, and other roadside incidents.
Troopers also investigated 566 property damage crashes and 243 injury crashes during the holiday window.
