The Cumberland County Commission has approved the use of county property for the placement of a bronze statue honoring Medal of Honor Recipient Milo Lemert.  Mayor Allen Foster reports the Milo Lemert Statue Committee is working on a plan to create a park between the Chamber of Commerce and the Military Memorial Museum in downtown Crossville. The statue will be placed in front of the currently erected gazebo, which will be given a few small upgrades.  The park will be named the “Milo Lemert Medal of Honor Memorial Park”.  The funds to purchase and erect the stature will be collected by the American Legion of Tennessee through donations and grants. The committee will work with the County Mayor’s office to complete the project.
