Fentress County Sheriff Michael Reagon officially submitted his resignation on Friday (12/19/2025), according to a post on the Sheriff’s Office Facebook page. Both Reagon and former Detective Jerry Mifflin have been charged with destruction and tampering with government records. Chief Deputy Hunter Fowler has assumed operational leadership of the Sheriff’s Office.
