#24 Tennessee falls to Kentucky

The cardiac Cats strike again as the 24th ranked Tennessee Vols fall to Kentucky after a tough second half. The Vols under Rick Barnes were 115-3 when leading by 10+ at halftime, unfortunately that record is now 115-4 as Kentucky would rally from an 11 point deficit to take down Tennessee 80-78.

Ja’Kobie Gillespie lead the Vols in scoring with 24 points freshman Nate Ament was behind him with 17 points. They were the only Vols to score in double-digits compared to Kentucky having four. Leading the way for the Cats was Denzel Aberdeen scoring 22 points.

Tennessee falls to 12-6 on the season and 2-3 in SEC play. The Vols go from their rival to the north to now their rival from the south as they travel to Tuscaloosa to play Alabama on Saturday. Coverage can be heard on 102.5 WOW Country.
