Update: The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office has clarified that the firearm was reported stolen To The Cookeville Police Department. It was not a stolen department issued firearm.
The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office says a convicted felon has been arrested on drug charges in Cookeville. During a search of the West Broad Street residence of Brandon Luke Jones, detectives reportedly found approximately 2.3 pounds of Marijuana, over .5 grams of Methamphetamine, two digital scales, and several thousand dollars in cash. Detectives also seized 4 firearms, 1 rifle and 3 pistols, along with a large quantity of assorted ammunition. One of the firearms in Jones’ possession was reported as stolen to the Cookeville Police Department.
Brandon Luke Jones was arrested and charged with Manufacture, Delivery, Sell of Methamphetamine, Manufacture, Delivery, Sell of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Armed Dangerous Felonies, and Theft of Property.
