Area roadways are snow and ice covered this morning (Saturday, January 31, 2026) in Cumberland and surrounding counties. At 9am traffic was flowing on I-40, however, TDOT cameras showed icy roads in Putnam County near Monterey, especially on bridges and overpasses. There were also patches of ice and snow heading east on I-40 near Ozone in Cumberland County. TDOT, county and city crews have been out clearing the roads since last night and early this morning.
