Authorities have declared a water emergency in Overton County as crews scramble to locate a major leak that threatens to leave the entire region dry. Overton County officials have issued an immediate Boil Water Advisory effective until further notice. Authorities warn that even if your taps are still running, water will likely run out soon. If you have water, you must strain it and boil it for at least three minutes before drinking or cooking. Overton County Schools are closed for the rest of the week due to the leak.
