The Driver Services Division and Tennessee Highway Patrol are warning Tennesseans about new scam text messages claiming recipients have outstanding traffic tickets and threatening their driving privileges. These messages are not real.
The Tennessee Department of Safety & Homeland Security will never send you messages about overdue traffic fines, fees, payments or license suspensions.
If you receive such a message don’t click and don’t pay. Delete and report.
