Crossville Man Charged With Aggravated Burglary of Hillsway Home

A Crossville man was charged after he allegedly kicked in a door window to gain entry into a residence on Hillsway.  Crossville Police were dispatched around 8:40pm Monday, February 16^th, 2026 to an active burglary with shots fired. The victims said they were sitting on the couch with their baby when they heard loud bangs on the front door. One of the victims grabbed his firearm when the door glass was kicked in and told the intruder he would shoot him if he entered the home.  The suspect stated he needed help before he fled. Police chased him down on foot and identified the suspect as 31-year-old Daniel Ray Boles.  No firearm was found on Mr. Boles. He was charged with Aggravated Burglary and Evading. Damage to the home was estimated at $3,000.
