The semifinal games of the District 7AAA High School Basketball Tournament were played Saturday at Cookeville High School. The SMHS Lady Panthers and CCHS Jets advanced to championship games with wins.
The Lady Panthers posted a 57-54 win over the Lady Wildcats from Livingston Academy and will meet Upperman in the title game at 7:30 on Monday.
The Jets posted a 49-47 win over the Stone Memorial Panthers Saturday and will take on Upperman at 7:30 Tuesday in the championship game. The Panthers will meet White County in the consolation game Tuesday at 6:00.
All three teams, the Lady Panthers, Panthers, and Jets have earned spots in the Region Tournament. The Lady Panthers and Jets will host first round games, and the Panthers will travel for round one.
