The Region 4AAA High School Basketball Tournament tipped off Friday with girls first-round matchups. The Stone Memorial High School Lady Panthers advanced to the Region semifinals with a 79-33 home win over the Murfreesboro Central Magnet Lady Tigers. The Lady Panthers led 46-16 at the half. The Lady Panthers will take on the White County Warriorettes in the semifinals on Monday (3/2). White County advanced with a road win at DeKalb County in round one. Saturday (2/28) the Stone Memorial High School Panthers travel to take on the Tigers at DeKalb County High School and the Cumberland County High School Jets play host to the Purple Tigers from Watertown High School.
