On Thursday, Tennessee Governor Bill Lee, Deputy Governor and Department of Economic and Community Development (TNECD) Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter announced the approval of more than $200 million in Broadband Equity, Access and Deployment (BEAD) funding. The broadband investment plan will bring high-speed internet to unserved and underserved communities across the state. The Lee Administration’s goal is to ensure every Tennessean has access to reliable, high-speed broadband by 2028. Ben Lomand Communications, LLC, which serves parts of Cumberland, Bedford, Coffee and Franklin counties, will receive over $5 million in this latest round of funding.
